The Alpha Phi Foundation

The Alpha Phi Foundation is the proud philanthropic partner of Alpha Phi International Fraternity, with a mission of “advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy”. Alpha Phi officially adopted Women’s Heart Health as a priority in 1946, which became the Foundation’s philanthropic priority upon its founding in 1956.

Alpha Phis are committed to benefiting our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, which invests in the advancement of women’s heart health. Heart disease is the number one killer of women, more than all forms of cancer combined. Alpha Phi helps this cause in many ways, such as the Heart-to-Heart grant, a $100,000 contribution given annually by the Alpha Phi Foundation to an organization or individual that is performing innovative research in heart disease in women. 

 

An exciting new program sponsored by the Foundation is the Alpha Phi Leadership Institute, a unique leadership development experience for members in collaboration with the Disney Institute, at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.   Other programs of the Foundation include supporting additional leadership training and programming through conferences and resources, awarding scholarships, helping members in need through the Forget-Me-Not Fund, and preserving our heritage.

 

Texas Tech Alpha Phi is a proud contributor to the Alpha Phi Foundation through various campus and community events.  We join Alpha Phi collegians and alumnae across the nation as we “Lead with Heart” by working to advance women’s lives both now and into the future.
